Steps to Apply For Financial Aid
Complete the financial aid application online each year between October 1st and March 2nd for Cal Grant priority deadline!
- FAFSA - the FAFSA is for U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, or eligible non-citizens with a valid Social Security number.
- CADAA - if you are not eligible for the FAFSA, the CA Dream Act is is for California AB540 eligible students.

- Financial Aid → Required Documents: displays a list of items needed to complete your financial aid file
- Check to see if the FA Office needs documents from you! Required documents lists all items pending and a description of how to resolve them.
- Financial Aid → Offer Letter: displays a list of financial aid awards for which you are eligible and reflect term award amounts for full-year, full-time enrollment.
- Your actual disbursements may vary depending on actual enrollment status for a term.
- Financial Aid → Satisfactory Academic Progress: displays status and calculation details regarding the most recent SAP status, including a list of five most recent SAP calculations based on your actual term enrollment.

Grades and completion of attempted classes impact your eligibility for Financial Aid!
- Keep a 2.0 GPA, and complete all courses attempted to maintain pace of 67%.
- Complete all academic program requirements within 150% of normal time.
- Submit semester appeal by the deadline, and know where to get progress report forms and when they are due if your appeal is pending progress reports.
- View your SAP details in Self Service Financial Aid.
