📚 Resource Guide

Find campus, local, and national resources for LGBTQIA students and allies, including wellness, crisis support, housing, scholarships, identity support, and community organizations.

📝 Preferred / Chosen Name Updates

Students and employees can update their chosen name and pronouns through Self Service. Chosen names and pronouns will be used in many settings, including class rosters, Canvas, Microsoft 365, and other systems. However, there may be instances where YCCD is legally required to use an individual’s legal name, or where system or application limitations prevent the use of chosen names or pronouns.

Alternatively, students may also submit a Student Records Change Request form to the Admissions & Records Office.

🚻 Gender-Inclusive Restrooms

WCC is working to provide accessible information and maps for gender-inclusive restrooms at Woodland Community College, Lake County Campus, and Colusa County Campus.

Students, faculty, staff, and allies are encouraged to participate in events, share ideas, and help build inclusive campus spaces.

🌈 WCC Pride: LGBTQIA & Allies WCC Campus Workgroup

The WCC Pride Workgroup is a collaborative group of faculty, staff, students, and allies dedicated to supporting LGBTQIA students and strengthening an inclusive campus community at Woodland Community College.

The workgroup meets regularly to discuss campus-wide initiatives, events, training opportunities, resources, and student-centered support.

Students are encouraged to participate and help shape the future of LGBTQIA support and programming at WCC.
