The Student Health Center in partnership with CommuniCare is a comprehensive center open to all WCC students. We provide on-site and telehealth physical and behavioral health services and education.

PHYSICAL HEALTH SERVICES
  • Diagnosis and treatment of minor illnesses such as ear pain, sore throat, coughs/colds, sinus problems, headaches, rashes, and urinary tract infections
  • Pap smear testing, birth control methods
  • Pregnancy testing and counseling services
  • Sexually transmitted Disease (STD) counseling
  • Flu shots
  • TB clinic
  • Cholesterol checks/screenings
  • Diabetes checks

Now available:

  • FREE COVID-19 Rapid test and take-home test kits
  • FREE Narcan: a nasal spray that reverses the effects of an opioid overdose
  • FREE Fentanyl Testing Strips
BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SERVICES

We offer confidential and individual counseling. If you would like to explore whether counseling is right for you, the first step is to call us during business hours.

Services Available:

Drop-In consultations:
Confidential informal conversations with our behavioral health clinician for students and staff in need of personal support and/or assistance with life planning. These can be one time or occasional meetings ranging 30 -50 minutes. You can schedule an appointment or call at your earliest convenience to check for same day availability.

Individual Counseling:
Individual counseling sessions are confidential short-term therapy available to all enrolled WCC students at no charge. Typically, students will meet with behavioral health clinician on a weekly basis (unless determined differently during initial appointment) and work together towards reaching personal goals and/or obtain support during challenging situations.

Individual Counseling Our Behavioral Health Clinician supports students coping with life stressors that affect their academic goals. Some of the issues which can be explored include:
