We invite you to join us in celebrating the grand opening of the WCC Career & Transfer Center – please save the date!

Event participants will have the opportunity to:

  • Tour the Career & Transfer Center

  • Connect with local employers and career representatives
  • Win WCC swag!

The Career & Transfer Center is designed to support and enhance the experience of Woodland Community College students in the areas of transfer preparation and planning and career development. The Career & Transfer Center assists students with:

  • Researching transfer requirements and the application process
  • Connecting with University Representatives
  • Career assessments, exploration, and research
  • Resume/Cover Letter review and assistance
  • Mock interviews
  • Job search techniques assistance

Your UC Davis Transfer Opportunity Program (TOP) coordinator, Candy Giambruno, is available to meet with currently enrolled students from Woodland Community College to answer any questions about transferring to a four-year college. Please create or update your UC TAP profile to discuss your transfer plans.

TOP will continue to offer online advising appointments.

Please save the date! Discover UC Davis is a transfer empowerment symposium hosted by the Transfer Opportunity Program (TOP) on Friday, March 4, 2022, from 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM PST.

Discover UC Davis is a transfer motivational conference designed to help your students make informed decisions through career planning and exploration.Objectives:

  • Identify a major to match students’ career and educational goals
  • Network with UC representatives
  • Learn about UCD’s academic support programs
  • Strategize and help students through the transfer process to a four-year university

In-Person Event This Week!

 HBCU Caravan this week! We have more than 15 HBCU admissions representatives in town this week ready and eager to connect with students, faculty, and staff. We will be visiting community colleges in Southern California and the A2MEND Conference and College Fair. Event participants do not need to be a student or employees of the host community college, all are welcome! Students should bring multiple copies of their transcript if they plan on applying on-site.

The University of California Transfer Prep Program would like to invite you to participate in our Discover Your UC – Transfer Student Experience Series. We will be hosting two student panel webinars during which you will have the opportunity to hear from current students and learn about their journey to UC.
