What is Student Support Services (SSS & SSS-ESL)?

SSS & SSS-ESL are federally-funded programs that provide opportunities for academic, social, and cultural development for students.

Our goal is to assist students to graduate with an associates degree and transfer to a four-year institution.

Our Mission

TRiO SSS & SSS-ESL provides an environment that is committed to encourage, empower and guide our students to achieve their graduation and transfer goals.

Student Orientation & Academic Resources (S.O.A.R)

SOAR Cohort is an innovative access and retention program offered by the TRIO SSS-ESL Programs, at Woodland Community College Colusa County Campus (CCC). The purpose is to provide a smooth transition for high school students, increase the associate degree attainment, and transfer rate of the program participants. TRIO supports its students and addresses the challenges they face as they enter CCC. TRIO enables students to integrate their home identities with their school identity by creating a sense of community within the cohort. SOAR Cohort is open to graduating seniors from Colusa County and newly admitted to SSS-ESL.
