Our Mission
TRiO SSS & SSS-ESL provides an environment that is committed to encourage, empower and guide our students to achieve their graduation and transfer goals.
Program Services
Academic Advising Comprehensive and ongoing assistance with course selection and transfer plans, choosing majors and careers, school planning and test preparation.
Academic Support Study skill workshops, one-on-one academic counseling sessions, and study skills inventories to help students develop their skills and improve their academic performance.
Campus Tours Get exposed to many of the beautiful four-year campuses
that California has to offer. Learn about their resources, transfer requirements, and much more.
Cultural Activities To help in increasing our students’ cultural awareness. SSS & SSS-ESL sponsors several cultural activities throughout the year. Activities vary from attending plays, camping, visiting historical sites, museums and much more.
Financial Literacy We assist students in completing the FAFSA and scholarship applications. We provide workshops focused on increasing financial literacy, covering topics that range from budgeting to credit cards, to help increase their understanding of personal finances and global economic issues.
Peer Mentoring/Coaching Students have the opportunity to “learn the ropes” of what it is to be a student at our institution by matching them with successful SSS & SSS-ESL students with whom they may share similar backgrounds.
