Promise programs for students at any WCC campus
California College Promise Grant
Income-Based
The California College Promise Grant is a state-sponsored program which waives enrollment fees for qualifying students.
WCC Promise Award
for all WCC Students
The Woodland Community College Promise program will pay tuition for first-time, full-time students up to 15 units per semester at any WCC campus.
Promise programs for residents of Woodland or Clearlake
Woodland College Promise
For Woodland City Residents
Covers up to 2 years of community enrollment and college fees for eligible students residing in Woodland, CA.
Deadline to Apply October 15th
Clearlake College Promise
For City of Clearlake Residents
Covers up to 2 years of community enrollment and college fees for eligible students residing in Clearlake, CA.
How to qualify for these Promise programs
1. Apply to Woodland Community College
If you haven't already applied to WCC within the last year, you will first need to complete your application for Woodland Community College. You will need this in order to have a login to complete your Promise application.
2. Complete the FAFSA OR Dream Act Application
Complete the FAFSA to apply for aid, or if you’re an undocumented, Dream Act-eligible student, then submit the CA Dream Act Application.
List Woodland Community College as your college of choice. Use school code 041438.
3. Check your eligibility
California College Promise Grant
For California Residents
- Do one of the following to determine your eligibility and apply:
- Complete the FAFSA or California Dream Act Application above
- Or complete the CCPG application if you don't plan to submit the FAFSA or California Dream Act Application
No additional application form required.
WCC Promise Award
for Students at any WCC Campus
- Complete the FAFSA or California Dream Act Application
- Be a first-time college student (includes students who earned college units while still in high school)
- Attend any of our 3 campuses:
- Woodland Campus
- Lake County Campus
- Colusa Campus
- Be a CA resident or AB540-eligible
- Enroll full-time in classes and complete 12 to 15 units
No additional application form required.
Woodland College Promise
For Woodland City Residents
- Complete the FAFSA or California Dream Act Application
- Have proof of Woodland residency based on one of the following:
- FAFSA or CA Dream Act Application
- High school Transcripts
- Enrollment records from a high school within the Woodland Joint Unified School District (WJUSD)
- Have graduated from a Woodland high school within the Woodland Joint Unified School District within the last 12 months
- Complete a Student Educational Plan showing a declared major (program of study) leading to a degree/certificate or transfer goal at WCC
- Enroll full-time in 12–15 units at WCC (some exemptions may apply)
You must also complete the form below to finish your application.
Clearlake College Promise
For City of Clearlake Residents
- Complete the FAFSA or California Dream Act Application
- Have proof of Clearlake residency based on one of the following:
- FAFSA or CA Dream Act Application
- High school Transcripts
- Enrollment records from a high school within the Konocti Unified School District
- Have graduated from a Clearlake high school within the Konocti Unified School District within the last 12 months
- Complete a Student Educational Plan showing a declared major (program of study) leading to a degree/certificate or transfer goal at WCC
- Enroll full-time in 12–15 units at WCC (some exemptions may apply)
