Three ways to Apply to EOPS, CARE & NextUp

  1. Submit an online application.
  2. Download our fillable PDF application and either: 1) scan and email using the email below, 2) drop it off with our EOPS Staff at the Woodland or Lake County Campus, or with our Colusa Staff who will scan it to the WCC EOPS program.
  3. Pick up an application from our Woodland or Lake EOPS Office, or ask for an application at the front desk at the Colusa campus.

Fall 2024 Applications: The deadline to apply for the Fall 2024 semester is October 4th. Applications received after this date will be placed on hold for review in the Spring 2025 term.

Spring 2025 Applications: EOPS staff will begin reviewing applications at the beginning of December.

How to Apply for the CARE?

  1. Complete the CARE questions of the EOPS Application.
  2. Attach a copy of your Proof of Aid/Passport for Service with your EOPS Application upon submitting, or email a copy to our EOPS Staff, or drop it off at the Woodland or Lake County campus.

*Remember: When applying to the CARE Program you must provide a copy of your Proof of Aid/Passport for Services; request them from your county caseworker or download and email a copy from your BenefitsCal account.

Proof of Aid/Passport for services - Please make sure that both your and your dependents (children) names are listed, age or date of birth, aid code, and be dated within the month of the semester beginning (i.e., Payment period: 08/2019 or 01/2020).


How to Apply for the NextUp program?

  1. Complete the NextUp questions on the EOPS Application.
  2. Email foster care system verification to our EOPS Staff or drop off a copy at the offices at the Woodland or Lake County campus. If you are unsure what documentation to provide, please contact the Assistant Director or Program Specialist via email or phone.

Q: What happens after I submit my application?

A: The EOPS Specialist, Director, or Staff will review your application for Eligibility. This can take  3 - 7 Business Days. An eligible student will receive a call and email from our office inviting them to an Orientation Intake appointment to review program requirements before providing program services. Any student who is ineligible will receive an email with a denial letter.
