Faculty Committee Participation

The WCC Senate is the official body to appoint full-time and part-time faculty to committees, workgroups, and other teams as appropriate. Faculty participation in decision-making within departments, the college, and the district is vital to ensure participatory governance.  There are many opportunities for faculty to be involved;  the Senate Secretary sends out regular emails to faculty about committee openings.

• Interested faculty should submit a Campus Committee Interest Form
• Committees with vacancies should submit the Committee Vacancy & Callout Request Form

Committees Reporting to Senate

The WCC Curriculum Committee is a subcommittee of the Academic Senate.

Other committees, such as Flex and Professional Development Committee and Student Success and Institutional Effectiveness Committee, report jointly to Senate and the College Coordinating Council. Learn more about WCC Governance Groups.
