Chosen Name & Preferred Pronouns

Students and employees can update their chosen name and pronouns through Self Service. Chosen names and pronouns will be used in many settings, including class rosters, Canvas, Microsoft 365, and other systems. However, there may be instances where YCCD is legally required to use an individual’s legal name, or where system or application limitations prevent the use of chosen names or pronouns.

Alternatively, students may also submit a Student Records Change Request form to the Admissions & Records Office.
