Scholarship Opportunities
Scholarships are a great way to help pay for college—and we’re here to help you find them!
At Woodland Community College (WCC), we offer two main types of scholarships: those through the Yuba Community College District (YCCD) Foundation and external scholarships from other organizations.
Scholarships can be based on things like your grades, community involvement, where you live, or other specific criteria set by the scholarship donors.
To get started, review the YCCD Foundation and the External scholarship opportunities outlined below.
The YCCD Foundation is all about helping students succeed. Their main goal is to create more opportunities for students by raising and managing funds that directly support programs and services at Woodland Community College and Yuba College. In short—they’re here to support you and your journey through college!
The Woodland Campus Fund and Lake Campus Fund support student scholarships in collaboration with the YCCD Foundation. This collaboration supports a variety of scholarship opportunities for Woodland CC, Colusa County Campus and Lake County Campus students.

The WCC Financial Aid Office keeps an updated list of external scholarship opportunities—these come from outside organizations and donors who want to help students like you. While the list doesn’t include every scholarship out there (there are tons!), it’s a great place to start.
Just a heads-up: these scholarships aren’t connected to WCC or the YCCD Foundation, but they’re still awesome chances to get help paying for school!
