CalWORKs cash benefits are managed by your county. You must qualify and be receiving aid before you can use CalWORKs services at WCC.

Employment Preparation and Job Placement

Build resumés and cover letters, strengthen job search and interview skills, and find jobs related to your field of study on and off campus.

Community Referrals and Free Resources

Access childcare, transportation, and other community resources. Receive free educational supplies, (i.e. notebooks, supplies, calculators, backpacks, technology, etc.) plus free printing in our CalWORKs computer lab.

Employment Guidance and Job Placement

Receive guidance and resources to secure full-time employment after your program and apply your skills in your chosen field.

Employment Services

Are you a Case Manager? To help keep you informed, Woodland College CalWORKs staff will notify you:

  • If a student begins, ends, or changes jobs
  • If a student changes his/her class schedule
  • If an employer has concerns with a student’s work performance
  • If a student receives a raise
  • If a student is in jeopardy of dropping classes
  • If a student reports a change of address
