Uplifting students to achieve more
EOPS empowers students from diverse and underrepresented backgrounds to overcome barriers, access vital resources, and achieve their educational, career, and personal goals.
Register early for classes
EOPS students have Priority Registration so you can get the courses and schedules that work best for you.
Get extra help paying for college
EOPS grants can reduce out-of-pocket costs, and you can access free textbooks through the Lending Library, a survival backpack with school essentials, and transportation assistance to help you get to campus. Some services may require eligibility and are subject to funding.
Stay on track with dedicated counselors
Receive personalized academic, career, and transfer advising, support with degree and certificate planning, and regular check-ins to help you stay focused and reach your goals.
Build skills with free tutoring
Take advantage of free tutoring in key subject areas and workshops on time management, study strategies, and more.
Get connected to campus resources
Access help with basic needs, mental health, and technology support, plus referrals to other student services you may qualify for and use of a dedicated EOPS computer lab.
Learn from students who’ve been there
Work with peer mentors who share their experience, tips, and encouragement to help you succeed.
How to Apply
Apply to EOPS, CARE & NextUp
Fall applications are due October 10 annually with late submissions held for spring review. Spring review begins in early December and ends March 13.
- 1.Apply to WCC
You must be a current student and have already completed an application to Woodland Community College (on CCCApply)
- 2.Apply for FAFSA or CA Dream Act
Be sure you have already applied for financial aid for the current academic year (FAFSA or CA Dream Act Application)
- 3.Complete your EOPS Application
- 4.Eligible students will be contacted to schedule an Intake Appointment
The EOPS Specialist, Director, or Staff will review your application for eligibility. This can take 3–7 business days. If you are eligible, you will receive a call and email from our office inviting you to an Orientation Intake appointment to review program requirements before providing program services. If you are ineligible, you will receive an email with a denial letter.
