Training & Support
Free training built around a child's real needs
Meets State Training Requirements
Classes count toward Resource Family Approval (RFA) pre-approval hours and annual renewal training.
Specialized Parenting Support
Coursework addresses the educational, emotional, behavioral, and developmental needs of children in out-of-home care.
Ongoing, No-Cost Classes
New workshops offered throughout the year at no charge to caregivers.
Open to Prospective Caregivers
Available to individuals exploring foster or adoptive parenting, not only current caregivers.

The mission of Woodland Community College Foster and Kinship Care Education (FKCE) is to provide quality education and training for care providers of children and youth in out-of-home care, so those providers can meet each child’s educational, emotional, behavioral, and developmental needs.
