Students from any WCC campus, who are parents to children aged 3 and under, can get a free monthly supply of diapers (75 diapers or 30 pull-ups per month) at any of our Campus Marketplaces while you’re enrolled.

The Child Development Center offers on-campus childcare so you can focus on your education. Children learn in a safe, developmentally appropriate environment, and the program also serves as a lab school for early childhood education students. Families, children, and college students all benefit from this model of best practices.

WIC is a federal program that provides healthy foods, nutrition education, breastfeeding support, and health care referrals. If you are pregnant, postpartum, or have children under age 5, you may qualify for WIC benefits. The program is free and designed to support your family’s health during important stages of growth.

Our campus food pantry is a welcoming space here to support students with groceries and essential items to help you focus on school.

• Students are welcome to shop once a week for grocery items.
• When shopping, please respect the quantity limits. There are signs showing the quantity limit for each item.
• Bring your own bags whenever possible. Our supply of reusable bags is very limited.

Yolo Food Bank increases food and nutrition security
and helps create an equitable and sustainable local food system by connecting individuals and families to healthy, high-quality food and resources.

Available for anyone who needs it—no ID or payment necessary!

Every Friday starting at 8:30am at the Woodland Campus Student Services (Building 700). This is a drive-through food distribution. Please stay in your car and follow volunteers’ directions.

Eligible students may qualify for CalFresh, a program that helps low-income individuals and families buy groceries each month. You can apply online through California’s Department of Social Services.

CalFresh provides monthly food benefits on an EBT card, which can be used at grocery stores and farmers markets that accept EBT. Benefits can help you:

• Stretch your food budget to buy more groceries.
• Get nutritious foods like fruits, vegetables, and other healthy options.
• Support yourself and your family with a reliable hunger safety net.

The amount you receive depends on household size, income, and expenses such as housing and utilities.

The Salvation Army serves free community meals throughout the week, including hot breakfasts, hot dinners, and sack lunches.

The center also provides case management and resources to help individuals and families secure housing, employment, treatment, and mental health support. You can also access programs like resume help and employment readiness, rental and utility assistance, and emotional regulation courses.

A supplemental grant up to $1000 for students who have a temporary financial hardship resulting from a sudden emergency and are able to provide sufficient documentation of financial hardship.

Fourth and Hope is a community, faith-based organization with more than 35 years of providing services and facilities that benefit the homeless populations of Yolo County. They provide a continuum of care for the hungry and homeless by moving them from the streets to stability in Woodland and Yolo counties.

Davis Community Meals and Housing connects people in need with food, shelter, and supportive services in the community. Their programs help you access free meals, day shelter support, housing options, and outreach services if you’re experiencing hunger, housing insecurity, or homelessness.

Provides emergency shelter for individuals escaping domestic violence, sexual assault, or human trafficking. Offers rapid rehousing, financial coaching, meditation, credit counseling, and case management to help you regain stability.

Yolo County Housing Choice Voucher program (formerly known as Section 8) provides assistance to very low-income individuals and families to enable them to afford decent, safe and sanitary housing in the private rental market.
