Program Benefits
CARE provides helpful services for student success.
Get all these EOPS benefits…
Day 1 priority registration, assistance with textbooks and academic supplies, transportation assistance (contingent on funding), financial aid, counseling, tutoring, peer mentoring, workshops, and more!
Extra financial assistance
CARE provides additional grants, transportation assistance, food assistance, and classroom supplies to help reduce out-of-pocket costs beyond what EOPS already covers.
Childcare and extra resources
CARE connects you with additional assistance for childcare, transportation help, and community services to support your family while you pursue your education.
A community of parent support
You’ll find group support, specialized workshops, and peer connections designed for students balancing college and parenting responsibilities.
How to Apply
Apply to EOPS, CARE & NextUp
- 1.Apply to WCC
You must be a current student and have already completed an application to Woodland Community College (on CCCApply)
- 2.Apply for FAFSA or CA Dream Act
Be sure you have already applied for financial aid for the current academic year (FAFSA or CA Dream Act Application)
- 3.Obtain a copy of your "Proof of Aid/Passport" for Services
Request a copy from your county caseworker or download and email a copy from your BenefitsCal account.
Please make sure that both your and your dependents (children) names are listed, age or date of birth, aid code, and be dated within the month of the semester beginning (i.e., Payment period: 08/2019 or 01/2020).
- 4.Complete your EOPS Application
Remember: Attach a copy of your Proof of Aid/Passport for Service with your EOPS Application upon submitting, or email a copy to our EOPS Staff, or drop it off at the Woodland or Lake County campus.
- 5.Check student email for application updates
EOPS Staff will review your application for eligibility. Please allow a minimum of 7-10 business days for your application to be reviewed. Check your student email for an email for all application updates. If approved, students must complete an orientation and paperwork before receiving program services.
