Scholarships For Students
Scholarships are one of the best ways to help pay for college because they do not need to be repaid. We encourage all students to apply for scholarships every year—many opportunities are available and applying early and often increases your chances of receiving funding.
WCC students can apply for two main types of scholarships – Foundation Scholarships & External Scholarships
 The YCCD Foundation is all about helping students succeed. Their main goal is to create more opportunities for students by raising and managing funds that directly support programs and services at Woodland Community College and Yuba College. In short—they’re here to support you and your journey through college!
The Woodland Campus Fund and Lake Campus Fund support student scholarships in collaboration with the YCCD Foundation. This collaboration supports a variety of scholarship opportunities for Woodland CC, Colusa County Campus and Lake County Campus students.
2026-2027 FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION OPENS APRIL 15, 2026
Funding for YCCD Foundation Scholarships is made possible partially by support from the Foundation for California Community Colleges CCC Scholarship Endowment. Thousands of California Community College students receive scholarships each year.
The goal of the California Community College Scholarship Endowment (CCCSE) and CCCSE Osher Scholarships is to support student success and opportunity by distributing scholarships from a permanent fund every year, made possible thanks to the generosity of The Bernard Osher Foundation and many other donors throughout California.

The WCC Financial Aid Office keeps an updated list of external scholarship opportunities—these come from outside organizations and donors who want to help students like you. While the list doesn’t include every scholarship out there (there are tons!), it’s a great place to start.Just a heads-up: these scholarships aren’t connected to WCC or the YCCD Foundation, but they’re still awesome chances to get help paying for school!
