Back to Financial Aid
Frequently Asked Questions
Question
What happens if I go over the maximum units allowed for financial aid?
Answer
If SAP review makes it clear that you cannot mathematically finish your educational goal/program within the maximum timeframe, you will become ineligible for aid.
If you accumulate more units than allowed by the maximum time frame without achieving your educational goal, you will be placed on Financial Aid Termination Status and will not be eligible for financial aid. This includes grants and loans, but you may still qualify for the California College Promise Grant (CCPG).
You’ll get an email at your Woodland Community College @go.yccd.edu address with details on your status change and how to appeal.
