Frequently Asked Questions
Question
How do I appeal an award decision?
Answer
If you believe there’s an error or your situation has changed since applying, you may be able to appeal your financial aid award. Common reasons for appeal include:
- A drop in household income
- Divorce or death in the family
Unexpected medical expenses - Needing more aid due to increased educational costs
To request a review, contact the Financial Aid Office to start a Professional Judgment or Special Circumstances Appeal. You’ll need to submit a form and provide documentation. Each appeal is reviewed case-by-case.
