Back to Financial Aid
If you set up a Nelnet payment plan and are later awarded the California College Promise Grant (CCPG), your tuition charges may be fully covered. Here’s how the process works and what steps you may need to take:
What Happens Automatically
- Wait up to 20 days for your CCPG award to be processed by Woodland Community College and reflected in your account.
- Your student account balance will be updated and sent to Nelnet Business Solutions (NBS).
- Based on this update, Nelnet may automatically cancel your payment plan if your tuition is fully covered.
Note: Nelnet may still process scheduled payments during this time. Check your payment plan activity in your Nelnet account regularly.
What You Need to Do
- If a credit appears in Self-Service, you may request a refund from the Business Office.
- You will be charged a $10 processing fee for refunds.
- The $25 payment plan setup fee is non-refundable, even if the plan is canceled.
Avoiding This in the Future
To avoid being charged the $25 setup fee, apply for the CCPG before registering for classes whenever possible.
