Women’s History Month Event – Women of Yolo County in Action
Join Woodland Community College for a Women’s History Month celebration highlighting civic leadership and community engagement in Yolo County.
Date: Thursday, March 5
Location: Room 800 & Room 101, Woodland Community College
Cost: Free and open to campus and community (free parking)

• 8:30AM – Meet & Greet (Room 800): Enjoy free coffee and preview materials from the “Women of Yolo County in Action” exhibit.
• 9:00AM – Panel Discussion (Room 800): “Women of Yolo County Civically Engaged” featuring:
– Norma Alcala, City of West Sacramento Councilmember
-Xochitl Rodriguez, Former Woodland Mayor
-Jesse Loren, City of Winters Councilmember
– Mayra Vega, City of Woodland Mayor Pro Tem
• 10:30AM – Exhibit Opens (Room 101):
The “Women of Yolo County in Action” exhibit (March 5–26, 9AM–5PM, Mon–Fri) features artwork by Elyse Dolye Martinez and showcases art, photography, biographies, histories, and timelines highlighting women in Yolo County who are civically engaged and making a difference in their communities.
