Steps to Online Teaching Eligibility at WCC
Step 1: Complete the Online Teaching Certification Course
Instructors teaching in distance education modalities are required to complete this 60-hour training prior to being assigned an online or hybrid. Please sign up for the next section on the WCC Flex website. This training is only open to current Woodland Community College Faculty. Please email Betsy Allen, eallen@yccd.edu, with any questions regarding online teaching certification.
Step 2: Submit your course for peer review
Peer online course review (POCR) is a collegial process we use at WCC to ensure the quality of design and instruction of distance education courses. An instructor must complete the POCR process for at least one online course prior to being listed as eligible for online or hybrid instruction at the college. Watch this brief video for testimonials from our POCR graduates!
