Frequently Asked Questions
Question
What grades count towards “completed units”?
Answer
Completed units are courses where you earn a passing grade—A, B, C, or D. While a D counts for financial aid pace calculations, you may still need a C or better to meet graduation or major requirements. Grades that do not count as completed include:
- W – Withdrawal
- F – Failing
- NP – No Credit
- IP – In Progress
- I – Incomplete
- RD – Report Delayed
Repeated classes, including Work Experience courses, are included in your pace and maximum timeframe calculations. You may repeat a course for financial aid purposes if it qualifies under the college’s repeat policy.
Note: You are responsible for notifying the Financial Aid Office if any of your grades are later updated or changed.
