Frequently Asked Questions
Question
Why am I on Academic Notice or Progress Notice?
Answer
There are two types of Notice at Woodland Community College: Academic Notice and Progress Notice. Both are based on your official academic record and begin after you’ve attempted at least 12 units at any Yuba Community College District campus.
Academic Notice
You’ll be placed on Academic Notice if your cumulative GPA drops below 2.0 (C average) in Woodland Community College coursework.
Progress Notice
You’ll be placed on Progress Notice if more than 50% of your total attempted units have grades of W (Withdrawal), I (Incomplete), or NP (No Pass).
Being on Notice doesn’t mean you’re failing—it’s a sign that you may need extra support. Meeting with a counselor can help you get back on track and stay eligible for financial aid and registration.
