Celebrate WCC Chicana/o Studies: For the People at this special panel and exhibit event.
The panel will explore the history of the Chicana/o Studies program at Woodland Community College, highlighting the efforts of students and community members who mobilized in 2006 to establish the program. Speakers include Dr. Jesse Ortiz, Dr. Cirenio Rodriguez, Eric Alfaro, Steven Payan, and others, with a special welcome by President Navarrete.
Following the panel, an exhibit will showcase Chicana/o Studies and community history through images, documents, and artwork curated by faculty member Manuel Rios.
