Woodland Community College Hosts In-Person Undocumented Student Action Week Event

Woodland Community College (WCC) is honored to host the culminating event of the Eighth Annual California Community Colleges’ Undocumented Student Action Week (USAW) on Friday, October 18, 2024. This in-person conference will unite community colleges statewide in a collaborative effort to provide crucial support for undocumented students.

The USAW, running from October 14-18, 2024, is a statewide initiative dedicated to raising awareness, offering practical resources, and fostering community for undocumented students as they navigate the unique challenges of their immigration status.  The week is supported by the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office, the Foundation for California Community Colleges, the Community College League of California, and our statewide partners for a week of collaboration and supporting students, faculty, and those involved in advocating for undocumented students. This year’s theme emphasizes career mobility and action, and WCC is proud to play a pivotal role by hosting the final day’s in-person event, in addition to virtual webinars throughout the week.
