Continued exploration of painting media and techniques from art 9A while using a diverse global understanding of contemporary art. Emphasis on painting from life and personal expression.

A beginner’s course that focuses on the principles, elements and practice of painting. Focus will be on understanding the fluidity of paint, creating values, mixing colors and properly utilizing the tools to manipulate the paint in order to create a convincing composition based on observation.

Studio course focused on the actual creation of a large mural. Students will design the composition, prepare the wall, and produce the mural.
