The February edition of WCC Insights is now available!
Woodland Community College (WCC) continues to experience strong growth in enrollment. Since the 2022-23 academic year, headcount enrollment has increased by 17%, reflecting the college’s dedication to expanding access to higher education. As we prepare for Late Start Classes beginning on March 17, we encourage our community to take advantage of this opportunity to further their education and enhance their socio-economic prospects. We also invite you to the upcoming events on campus and have included details below.
Join us for a special screening of The Dirty Divide, a powerful documentary on homelessness, followed by a conversation with filmmaker Paul Freedman. This free event takes place on Saturday, February 22, at the WCC Performing Arts & Culinary Center. Presented by the Rotary Clubs of Woodland in partnership with Woodland Community College, this screening is part of a broader community dialogue on homelessness and access to basic needs. Cash for College, February 22 – Woodland Community College is hosting a Cash for College event on Thursday, February 22, to help students and families complete their FAFSA or CA Dream Act applications. Financial aid experts will be on hand to provide free, one-on-one assistance to ensure students can access the financial support they need for college. Please share this opportunity and help our current and prospective students secure funding for their education!
Black History Celebration at WCC’s Lake County Campus
Join us as Woodland Community College’s Lake County Campus honors the contributions of Black women throughout history. This event will showcase the voices, stories, and achievements of women who have united for equality and justice. Experience the rhythmic beats of music that echo through generations, savor the flavors of love through cultural appreciation, and be moved by the words of esteemed community leaders, poets, and singers.
