The May edition of WCC Insights is now available!
As we close out another academic year, one word continues to stand out to me: resilience. I see it reflected in our students every day—and especially in the pride and determination they carry as they reach the important milestone of graduation, many after overcoming tremendous barriers and challenges along the way.
Tonight, we are excited to celebrate our students’ resilience! As partners to Woodland Community College, you help us support our students’ journeys and help foster their resilience. Thank you!
I’m also excited to share that Woodland Community College is celebrating a historic milestone as we prepare to honor its largest graduating class to date. This year, WCC received 766 degree petitions, a dramatic increase from 328 petitions submitted the previous year. In addition to the rise in degree petitions, WCC also received 190 certificate petitions, highlighting the strong demand for career and workforce programs.
If you’re on Instagram, I invite you to follow me (@WoodlandCC_President) and Woodland Community College (@WoodlandCommunityCollege).
Warm regards,
Dr. Lizette Navarette
