WCC Insights – October 2025

The October edition of WCC Insights is now available!

Dear Woodland Community College Supporters,

We wrap up the month of October with great pride as Woodland Community College has been recognized by the Aspen Institute College Excellence Program as one of the Top 200 community colleges in the United States, earning eligibility to compete for the $1 million Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence — the leading recognition of high achievement and performance among two-year colleges.

The Aspen Prize honors colleges that demonstrate exceptional student results. The 200 colleges were selected based on their student outcomes data, including retention, completion, transfer, and bachelor’s attainment rates. This recognition places WCC among an elite group of institutions that exemplify student-centered success and equitable educational outcomes.

The Aspen Prize Top 200, in addition to recent recognition as a Pathway Champion for Campuswide Growth in Transfer-level English Success, underscores Woodland Community College’s dedication to academic excellence, student equity, and pathways that lead to socioeconomic mobility. I’m beyond thankful to our faculty and staff for their commitment to student success!
