Academic Assistance and Tutoring is designed to provide individual and group assistance for students through study strategies, tutoring, and academic tools. This course is designed for students seeking assistance with concurrent coursework.

This course is an individualized course designed to prepare students to take the GED (General Educational Development) or the HiSET (High School Equivalency Test) examination. This course covers all five areas of the examinations: reading, writing, social studies, science, and mathematics.

The study of whole numbers, fractions, mixed numbers, and decimals which involves concepts of prime and composite numbers, and prime factorization; ratio, proportion, percent; rounding and estimating sums, differences, products, and quotients. Concept applications, math vocabulary, and reasoning skills are emphasized.
