Take this introductory course to learn accounting principles and practices, the complete accounting cycle, and creation of financial reports. You'll also learn the proper procedures when working with journals, ledgers, payroll, and financial reports.
Get a general overview of marketing principles. You'll learn the entire process of planning and executing how to sell and promote goods and services. Plus, you'll analyze how these elements are impacted by government regulations, environmental protection, competition, and consumer behavior.
Communicate effectively in the business environment! Here you will develop and refine your written and oral communication skills including how to plan, organize, compose, and edit business documents and presentations. You'll also become proficient in creating letters, memos, e-mails, and more!

Annette leverages her long and varied experience in high-tech, logistics consulting, and start-ups to help you learn all of the "ins and outs" of running a business of your own.
As an arts enthusiast, Instructor Lee owned and operated Konocti Dance Academy which she founded in 2007. Prior to teaching and serving as Executive Dean, Annette was a Senior Consultant at Ernst & Young LLP focused on supply chain projects in the Bio-Tech industry. At AMD she developed a strategic procurement consortium aimed at improving efficiency and reducing cost for companies such as Cisco Systems Inc. and National Semiconductor. She has also held Program and Product Management positions at Spin Media Network Inc. and Sun Microsystems where she provided strategic direction and overall management for B2B e-commerce applications. As a FedEx Freight Product Manager, she led the development of portfolio products to extend the reach of FedEx services into the lucrative China market.
