Test Day

A picture ID is required when placement testing is given. All students who wish to take an assessment with Woodland Community College will need to have already applied to the college 24 hours prior to taking the assessment exam. Students Apply Now! can apply online. Have your WCC student ID number, available through WebAdvisor, and a photo id at the time of testing. There is no childcare on site.

Results are provided to the student immediately after taking the computerized test. Keep your assessment results as you may need them during a counseling appointment or as proof that you meet certain graduation requirements. You will also be able to see your Test Summary through WebAdvisor.

Assessment tests may be taken more than two times in any semester and not more than three times in any two-year period. Exam results will be valid for two years, or as recommended by the instrument publisher.

Retaking the Assessment

English/ESL/Math/Reading: Students may retake the assessment after a 30 day waiting period. It is advised during this time that the student study for the test in order to improve upon the score that they originally received.

Tests from Other Colleges

Students may bring in tests from other colleges that are approved by the California Community College Chancellor’s Office as a “second party testing instrument”, and if appropriate concordance tables are available.  Students should note that the official scores need to be brought into the college from the other institution and they need to have taken the test within the last 2 years.  Students are to complete the following survey and bring this in with the attached scores to the Admissions and Records Office.

Special Accommodations

Compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and other state and federal regulations related to disabilities is required by law. Yuba Community College District will offer reasonable testing accommodations as prescribed by the test publisher and Title V regulations.

If you need special accommodations for testing, please contact the Admissions & Records Office at (530) 661-5700. Students who have disabilities should contact the DSP&S office at (530) 661-5797 prior to assessment.
