Reading

Welcome to the Woodland Community College Reading Department

The WCC Reading Department’s goal is to help students develop the reading skills and strategies necessary for greater success in their college classes. Beyond the classroom, strong reading skills translate to greater career opportunities, life-long learning and personal enrichment, and informed participation in the community.

By taking reading classes, students will grow as critical readers across the disciplines and learn step-by-step strategies to approach academic reading assignments with success. Students will also learn to see the connections between reading and writing, developing their ability to use and respond skillfully to texts.
