The marquee is located at the front entrance to Woodland Community College. It is primarily used for important dates and college events.
Who can submit requests to use the marquee?
Only staff may submit requests to post a message on the marquee. Supervisors should approve all requests before submission.
What type of information can I post?
Any message that invites the community onto campus. This includes graduation, community events, plant sales, or service department closures. We will not post on-campus events such as workshops or committee meetings. The President’s Office has final approval over all messages.
What type of message format can I use?
Text only. No graphics or animations at this time.
Your message should not exceed 20 words. 10 – 15 words per message is ideal. The font and line size may impose further limitations.
How long will my message stay on the marquee?
We will remove your message after the event has ended.
The total number of messages on the marquee will not exceed eight. The President’s Office will determine message priority.
What are the deadlines for submission?
Submit your request at least 10 business days prior to the event. For major events, such as graduation or open enrollment, submit your request at least one month in advance.
