Aztlan: A Journal of Chicano Studies - Aztlán presents original research that is relevant to or informed by the Chicano experience. An interdisciplinary, refereed journal, Aztlán focuses on scholarly essays in the humanities, social sciences, etc.

This database offers a variety of information on specific countries including an overview of the country, political and economic conditions, and environmental issues. It also includes wire service stories for each country. This is the best place to start researching a country.

The New York Times
(1851-2005) offers full page and article images with searchable full text back to the first issue. The collection provides access to every page from every available issue.
JSTOR - An archiving database will full text access to multidisciplinary titles. Current articles (last 2-5 years) are not available through JSTOR. For more recent articles, try ProQuest, Current Issues (WilsonWeb), or another appropriate database.

NewsBank - Find current and archived local, state, and national articles on issues, events, people, government and more with the collection of full-text newspapers and other sources featuring the Daily Democrat (8/16/04-Current), Davis Enterprise (8/3/97-Current), New York Times (1995-Current), and the San Francisco Chronicle (1985-Current). Includes Access Broadcast Transcripts, Access Business News, Access Military, Government, and Defense, Acceda Noticias, and the Sacramento Bee Image edition.

Pro & Con Online - Online versions of Congressional Digest, Supreme Court Debates, and International Debates. Each debate includes an introduction and several opinions both for AND against the issue.

U.S. public policy issues with an emphasis on statistics.
Salem History - Information on history, people, and worldwide events by Salem Press.
Testing & Education Reference Center - Over 100 practice tests and courses compliment information on over 4,000 accredited schools and a career assessment module with a virtual library of career information.
